Boy did you open a can of worms!! I went to the fall red ball and loved it. It seems it is a tribute memorial to the original express and MV's involved. I would love to drive the Red Ball in my M-2-4., but my wife would not like the open cab and what it would do to her hair...
I agree 110%. He has paid his due,He raised good kids and this is the product of being a great role model. You will be rewarded in this life or the next. I hope my sons read this and know how much i want some armor with tracks, and not a tracked snowblower.
I am heading up to Red Ball next week. Anyone from the Md area heading up?? I am tired of being snowed in, reading MV and project magazines and making 2010 plans. Anyone need anything??
I am looking for a replica 50 cal and 30 cal BMG , so if anyone wants to unload one, pm me...
Good job Convoy Commander. I know I will meet up with you guys on the way north. My son's and I are local and will provide help should anyone have an MV glitch. Also pm me so i can help with Friday Night . pm sent...
I must be unique. I have recovered 7 Mep-003A.s from GL and have never had a problem with their drivers loading these units. In fact they are better drivers than the F/L drivers where I work.
Has anyone one this site built their own 1:1scale replica of a 50 cal? I have seen other sites where this has been done but I was curious if anyone here had built one. I have 2 trucks that I want to put one one and do not want to spend the money to buy one. i did find a site where they have...
I think it will be cheaper right now to buy one that is bobbed. Here is the math. 3000-4000 for a runner and then 2500 to bob it. I just sold my bobber that my son built for 5500. I wanted a wrecker... After I paid him for his work /time I broke even. You can find them right now for 5500-6000.
John is who I would get if I needed one locally. His son is pretty good too. (Like father like son). Both are honest and hardworking guys. My son is also good, and would do it, but he has a 3 month project going on in his shop, and has been working 6 days a week on his job.
Welcome to Maryland. Bring a snow shovel when you come north.
I guess we should do what we did last year and meet somewhere for breakfast. We had a good turn out last year and it allowed us to get an agenda to what we were going to do later in the year as well as our Shop Day to do the Air...
Lance is 100% right. These are built, Ford tough!! I found that when buying these that the best chance for a reasonable deal, is when GL has 100+ in one auction, at one site. Lone units, ay 1 site with low hours means big bucks. I picked up 6 last year at one auction (100+ at that auction)and...
I got stuck today backing out of my yard. I have about 2000 lbs in the back for traction but when you back into a 4' snowdrift, my back wheels were lifted off the ground from snow building up under the axles. We got hammered today with 30". Guess I will be off the hump by Aberdeen.
I want one. Maybe i will wake up in the morning, walk into my back yard and find 25 nice deuces to sell so I can be the other MD guy with a UH-1.. Good find.
