    Steel Soldier Recovery, Me!!!

I made it 11 miles to a ramp without power brakes. I ran at 5-10 mph for over an hour to get off of the interstate. Longest ride of my life.

Anyone with cargo on Arrow Truck Lines?

The illegal aliens get treated better than these hardworking, tax payers.. The direction in which we are going is all wrong. i am not getting political but I disagree with the theory about the ballot box solving this. It is above that. Look at how we cannot single out people from countries who...

    Steel Soldier Recovery, Me!!!

I was part of a recovery yesterday and I was the one who was recovered. I was about 95 miles from home in western Maryland when a brake line blew out on my truck on one of the mountians. I was in the middle of no-where. I made a call to a member who lived about 70 miles away. He dropped what...

    M88's headed Home for Rebuild

I talk with his oldest son everyday. I make it a point. The family is fine. The Army took care of his widow. They miss their Dad and I know that this morning was hard on them like his birthday and Father's day. Thank you for asking. When I looked and saw this post and who was the originator I...

I just had more HEMTT wheel adapter plates made. In fact i had a lot made to cut costs. I learned this when making the first batch. These are a second generation plate. Schedule 50 steel, 3/8" and best of all they are only 160 per plate. I also have wheels that have been cut out, if you need...

    15 minute rule - flustrating

Check your paperwork. GL pays for the trucks before the auction. In some cases up to a year before the auction date. When you get the SF 97 paperwork, look at the transactions dates at when the item was transferred and what they paid. My last truck was 3 months before I bid.

    15 minute rule - flustrating

If you think that what you spend in an auction goes to the government you are mistaken. Just look at the paperwork that comes with your SF-97. GL buys the trucks from 50-250 dollars for a deuce. That is months before they go to auction. Price is based on a maintenance report done by the army...

    15 minute rule - flustrating

I am glad that the 15 minute rule allows you to bid again , rather than the person with the fastest modem to wait until 16:59:58 and sneak in and outbid you by 1 dollar. This is not a perfect system, and I have thought I won only to see the auction extended by 15 minutes. If you do not like...

Red Dot R-9777 Roof Top A/C

Daniel The kit I got last nite is installed in my bosses hummer. It took 2 of us 3 hours to install it. After doing an install on a vehicle that the kit was made for, and having my deuce on scene, the only difference is the mounting bracket. It looks like M35Tom solved that one in Aug. Looks...

Red Dot A/C Unit Install In A Deuce

I just arranged to pick up an Humvee A/C unit from a member who posted in the classifieds. These are the bolt in units that cool the HUMVEE in the Iraqi 125 degree heat. They ought to work wonders on a truck cab. Has another out there installed one of these units in a deuce or 5 ton. My son...
