I need to tear into my IP to see why I am leaking from where the lines go into the top (it may also be putting fuel into the crankcase). Can anyone point me to a tm that has an exploded diagram of the pump and/or torque specs for when I start putting it back together? Got any tips or tricks...
realisticly I have about 5 lazy saturdays involved in the process (counting removal from donor & sandblasting/painting peices) It took a lot longer as I also cut up a deuce, made a a few pretty long trips hauling/retrieving parts, and swapped the deuce to an airshift among other things.
It's done! (well, almost need to find the pto shifter lock)
I installed the pto and clearanced the bell housing for the shaft, and installed the shaft (big time pain)
the one thing I would do differently is to set up the pto/shaft without the winch on the truck.
Looking great!(as usual)
If building stuff to the level your truck is at was easy, we would see it all the time. Every time I see a pic of some new detail I am blown away.
BTW if we are going to start naming our trucks I call dibbs on "the antichrist"
This thread has me really disgusted for two completely different reasons.
1. That car was private property. Had it been your car, or if you had permission of the owner I would have gotten some popcorn and coke and enjoyed the show. It isn't too far of a stretch to see someone who was proud...
I gon't know enough to say they are optimal, but I feel good about them.
I have only driven 3 deuces...
my first one = no brakes at all
one I took on a test drive= kinda spongy
my current truck= feels pretty good
