Update,
Done with work here in Panama City, FL. Getting ready to head out on I-10 West for CA.
Truck is running good and you don't even know it has a gooseneck trailer is there.:)
After working on the truck all day. It is fixed.
Replaced the injector pump and filter assy. Took it for a test drive and it now hauls a**.:D
No codes came up.:o:o:o
I now know that my fuel system from the tank to the injector pump is clean, clean, clean.
I'll be heading to CA Sunday...
Before I replace the injector pump I thought I would try to see if draining the inside of the pump and cleaning the OP would work. I removed the top cover and sucked all the fuel out and blow compressed air in the housing to remove what was left.
Putting it back together right now...started to...
I'm not happy for sure. But not mad either, Thing happen and you just have to make the best of it.
Money is real tight right now and that makes the wife a little hot.
Yes, I hooked the laptop up(running Auto Enginuity) and did the offset learn and cleared the codes. A few times the truck died after the offset was done.
I was thinking of disconnecting and reconnect the battery just to see what would happen.
I was still getting water in my fuel filter and the truck was still running ruff, so I went ahead and droped the fuel tank. It had about 1/2 cup of water total in the tank. I cleaned the sock on the fuel pick-up tube( not that bad, but was dirty ) Put everything back together, added fresh fuel...
Code lady got me this morning with my gooseneck trailer parked in the swale in front of my house. She said someone called and I need to move it now or get a $50.00 fine. I moved it to the side of the house, behind my wood fence. I do know who called.
Thanks for the info mangus580,
Dropping the tank was my next step.
I cleared all the codes, but these two codes come right back on:
P0251(Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control A.....Module Fuel and Air Metering.
P0370(Ign Timing...High Resolution Signal A.
