My brother sent me this link about a company that makes/modifies vehicles into Expedition Vehicles and they are planning on turning this 1984 HEMTT into one. I don't know about this one though:

I was going to state exactly that on the tie down on the front. You need to have independent, opposing tie downs on each point, not one long chain threaded through both of them.

The cheapest vehicle from Unicat will run you $350,000.00 before shipping over to the US, and that is for a used one. Even if you go for just one of their used boxes to install on your deuce it is going to run you well over $200,000.00.
So a deuce is definately the way to go.
The location of that tank would be a concern for me too and I am glad to hear you plan on setting it up differently. Plus you can use that spot for cargo or even a spare tire! :)
Do let us know what something like your setup would cost along with build time. I deal a lot with refurbished...
