Deuce leaking oil from base of filter

I bought these bases and filters as a turn-key kit from builder77. good 5 micron filters with plenty of capacity and no leaks.

    Circuit breaker question.

You can get away with using the wrong voltage as long as you don't mind slightly poorer regulation (24V units protecting a 12V system) and/or reduced contact life (12V unit in a 24V system). If you don't pop them often, they'll be fine and most equipment doesn't notice the voltage drop in the...

    Rear Bumperette Holes

    1. cut off a couple fingers from one of those spooky rubber hallowen hands and stick them through there 2. put a couple of those violet 'jewel' lamps (lowrider tail light inserts) in there (or lasers!) 3. hang one end of your hammock 4. anti-tailgating spray dispensing nozzles 5. put a stainless...

    Ham radio tower trailer!

a bit overpriced, for being as-is.. there could be hidden unknown problems, best to check it out before buying. If it's a worker, it's worth it.

Thoughts on overdrive.... has the tcase been looked at?

ditto on the parking brake.. It serves as a reminder to use the wheel chocks. Not going to strip and remanufacture the truck, so don't want to do anything real radical, there doesn't seem to be a bolt-on for an OD to the M35 T-case.. . My favorite suggestions are Tom's tranny mod and the "big...

Thoughts on overdrive.... has the tcase been looked at?

Wouldn't want to lose low range.. good for pulling houses down and such. Been looking for a case that could be put behind the transfer, the idea being that you don't need 6x6 on the highway at 55MPH or better. All the ones I see so far are designed to bolt to an existing transmission, rather...

Questions from a new Deuce owner

On the antifreeze, some have suggested the anti-cavitation additive. Memphis equipment advised me it is not necessary because the LDT deuce engine uses dry cylinder liners. also, with the in-tank pump running but the engine stopped, be sure to drain the primary fuel filter. for a bit, and see...

    M35A2 Axle shims needed

that's a good point. Internet stuff stays long after it's an old cobweb. I confess to being misled by it more than once.

    Michigan Vic-1 Owners

MV intercoms are not for everyone.. the mikes have to be right agaist the lips, making it hard to smoke.. the things are hot and sweaty. they cost a bunch of money, but having one that is working well is a joy. Note that on the RT unit, there is a separate audio amp in the radio that is for...

    OA331 Gasser Conversion to MF

I've been told that a properly running gasser will walk away from a MF, and that they get 6 vs. 8 MPG. No experience there. I guess the things need to be checked like timing, compression, carb rebuild? intaker manifold vacuum leaks, etc.

help please with diesel generator add-on advice

RE: Re: RE: Ok then... Here is their web page. They are a great company and they really care about their customers, even the little guy like myself who just buys one small set. Getting the fine service and the factory tour, shows me it is a piece of America as it should be...

    Michigan Vic-1 Owners

You can connect a LS-454 speaker (as used with RT524/246) to either jack on the crew box and should hear it. If the amp is working and crew box and headset are switched to intercom, you should hear a small amount of background hiss in the headset or speaker. Note the headset audio power level is...

Multifuel injection pumps and parts from China

check the new M35 replacement windshields country of origin. I believe there are some Chinese ones out there and if I saw what I saw, the quality was quite good. Not saying they won't rust in 3 months, but am saying that it will take vigilance and extra money to avoid such imports in the future...

TX Veterans Day Parades - Dallas and Richardson

RE: TX Veterans Day Oarades - Dallas and Richardson That's fair enough. I was not too excited about signage either, since the object is to honor veterans, not blatantly promote political aspirations. Is it fair to ask for the passenger seat? Maybe his folks could take a picture along the route...

TX Veterans Day Parades - Dallas and Richardson

Richardson TX has a small parade. This year I will be in it and my father, LTC (R) Leonard Jankowiak will be riding in the M35 passenger seat. A friend of mine, CPT (R) Charlie Richmond, would like to ride in a WWII jeep or any deuce for the Dallas parade. He's running for County Sherriff also...
