I had the same problem when i recovered my 818. Damn thing has 4 batteries, and after charging, when put on a load, 2 of them would drop to 10 volts, and not start, just a click. Seems like the oth er 2 would carry the load, but not. Now I need a cheap source for some batts :roll:
Unless you have help from a fellow SS like you :-D I still can't thank you and your wife enough for saving my bacon. And of course Aaron for the donor parts. I have all his new gear together, and getting ready to commence the repair mission. I will start a thread with all the new shinny goodies...
Its TOTALLY in good fun, plus we are interested to see any example of green iron that we can. I just through out the nopics thing on another thread, and the guy that posted it said he was new, and I believe him cause he took offense to it :-P ALL IN FUN
It is most deffinitely a bad connection with the main cable. I think that where the volt meter picks up the voltage, so bad connection or wire. Just MHO
