Cpf240, That answered my next question. Just got home from the shop... gave me fuel hose instead of vacuum hose. Any difference other than it being less flexible than the vacuum tubing?

Matt, Nope. New alternator should be here tomorrow and hopefully it wont be defective. After that all I need to do is finish off the king pins, fix the transmission, I think I can live with the oil leak for the moment. Clean and lube it all and hopefully thatll do it.

Managed to crack the Gen 2 alternator during a rebuild.... So just ordered a replacement. Off to inspect the vacuum lines on the transmission... and maybe I'll find some good news and just have to replace that short little vacuum hose to get the transmission to work right.

Need to find a new gen 2 alternator.... Just cracked the one I got trying to get the bearing out.... I am not happy at all right now. Well Sparky, dont count on my CUCV rising up anytime soon lol. But looks like Im doing an alternator rebuild on Tuesday. Maybe Ill get lucky and itll solve the electrical issue.
