What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Cpf240, That answered my next question. Just got home from the shop... gave me fuel hose instead of vacuum hose. Any difference other than it being less flexible than the vacuum tubing?

Doesn't come on at all... my last experience taking the dash apart didnt go so well. I'm not looking forward to it again :? But I think I need to at this point. I ressurected my restoration thread with a few things I found as well.I'm working on putting in the pictures.

    M1008 restoration and repair thread.

I thought I would resurrect this thread and add a few things I've learned along the way and a lot more questions to stop cluttering up the "what did you do with your CUCV today/lately" thread. First off, I now have Death Wobble in the front axle. I bought a rebuild kit from Off Road Design -...

    M1009 Steering Damper PN

The tough country one from Off Road Design. Definitely appears to be more robust than the stock one (which was leaking badly) I pulled off.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

A little lost on the multimeter thing, butI think I did it right... Anyways I'm going to the manufacturer's site to hopefully figure out how to use it properly. I should probably learn how to speed things up in the future and to know what I am doing. I looked again and on the positive stud I...

    2013 Haspin Discussion Thread

Matt, Nope. New alternator should be here tomorrow and hopefully it wont be defective. After that all I need to do is finish off the king pins, fix the transmission, I think I can live with the oil leak for the moment. Clean and lube it all and hopefully thatll do it.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

rvnlrrp, Check the fuse on the bottom of the fuse block labelled 28v should be 10 Amp I think. after that check the voltmeter relay and gen 2 relay (if the gen 2 light is still working while the glow plugs are warming up its probably good). Then start working your way through the rest of the...

    2013 Haspin Discussion Thread

Managed to crack the Gen 2 alternator during a rebuild.... So just ordered a replacement. Off to inspect the vacuum lines on the transmission... and maybe I'll find some good news and just have to replace that short little vacuum hose to get the transmission to work right.
