I haven't noticed much wear on the backs at all. A deuce will munch front tires like candy.
When I got my truck about 3k ago my back tires were pretty bald and fronts brand new. Now the backs are just as bald, not much worse and my fronts are catching up pretty fast.
That was great guys. I had so much fun.
Big Kudos to Aaron and family for setting up such a great site. It was really fun to be in such a great group.
I got home about 12 on Sunday without much issue other then a hub that's getting warm. I will post pics when I get them off of my camera. I was...
Getting my jungle hammock in the mail today for a sleeping area in the truck. This just give me a reason to dust off my wool blankets and clean my fart sack. Good to pull out the old gear every once in a while to make sure the moths aren't attacking and to refold it again like old times.
Here is a couple with the LMTV cage I got from gimp with the sides down. I did a little build thread on it a few months ago. It fits pretty tight minus an inch or so of slop in the back because the cover is slightly too long for the deuce. (about 3.5 inches)
I can bring a bug zapper Just in case.
Also, did you know that having 3 drums full of atf/oil one one side of the bed can cause the truck to lean... Need to balance the load a bit.
It is an LMTV top. Why there are only 6 poles holding it up.
I knew a guy in Iraq that gave us a private tour of the chaffee collection in VA. That's a huge tank collection. She did some pretty awesome work that day too.
It is a nice mix of hobbies. We have quite a few really nice family...
Awesome Scott! So you picked up mine?
On a side note, looks like I am picking up your fuel on Tuesday barring Murphy and his pals showing up.
Hammer, all you 5 ton guys are going to make me feel like i am driving a sammi to this thing.
I have never really questioned why the engine is so low in power, I have just kind of accepted it. The truck does move pretty good on its 134 hp though.
HF stuff is gettintg made in India now. I wonder if that will change anything at all.
HF has been sooooo hit or miss for me. Believe it or not, I have a pile of cheap crappy air tools from them that I have run the crap out of. Used a half inch impact that I bought there to disassemble most of...
I know you can get a standard military seat cover from Saturn for around 13 bucks right now. I bought 2 of them and they look like pretty old surplus but work really well. I redid my spring seat cushion in my deuce with one. I bet you could make it work with a mule pretty well if you have any...
Just fixed the exact same thing in a friend's 6.2 suburban. It was the hydroboost puking fluid out from around the rod. Cost 150 for the part. Fixed it in a couple hours. BTW, the 2 studs that it attaches to the fire wall with are a giant PITA so be ready.
Wow, That is awesome coming strait from the army like that. I am jealous.
I agree with the seal may just need to get some oil around it to close back up.
