    A high idle speed can cause that. bad u joints can cause that worn out differential can cause that I'll guess that after you've backed up it will feel like it hit hard back into drive.

    I still suspect accelerator pump, Pull the air filter housing, with the choke open look down in the carb and slightly/slowly moved the throttle, it should be squirting two streams, even under slight movement.
