I think you are wasting your time if, as you described, you are only doing testing and exercising. I doubt it can be cleared with the authorities and the power company without some serious investment on your part.

As I understand it, some MEPs came without any slave receptacle at all. I do have 2 of the 2-pin receptacles for sale with weather caps.

thanks. i tried the gentle tap but will try again with a bigger gear puller (if i can find one) that doesn't rely on the small bolt pattern 5/16', i think. too light for the job and puller's bolts pulled the threads out of the fan.
