Good time to meet everyone and join up
Not a bad time to renew either......
A little misinformation has been posted.
an F350 does not weigh 13,900#
any truck with a base weight over 8,000 falls into the GVW plate catagory
The number of axles is irrelevant.
The Secretary of State office choose "pickup" as the body style of one of my deuces.
Although, officially if a...
Lanty is correct, the M880 series were 76 & 77 model years only. An M880 would have M880 & 1 1/4 ton in the NOMENCLATURE line of the data tag.
Yours is a 79 W200 that was Govt issue.
Basically 3 types of registrations to chose from for a Deuce in Michigan:
Histoiric/Authentic - definately cheap, has the most restrictions.
Log Farm plate - not cheap, distance restriction.
GVW plate - they start at 24,000lb and around $500 and go up from there based upon elected weight. The...
Define the wobble.
Is it felt in the steering wheel only? - Normal with a U-joint front axle in a sharp turn.
or is it the whole truck? - bent or loose wheel, broken belt in tire, on the right front maybe???
Thanks Lane, I missed that one. There is a thread on here somewhere about that firewall connection, complete with pics and all. Unfortunately I have zero search luck here.
Interesting mix of parts.............
the M880's had a reverse rotation steering box (all W series pickups through 1977)
a D300 as well as the 78 & up W series have a standard rotation boxes.
Swapping out 203's! Those cases are HEAVY!
The capacity is listed in the TM's (which can be downloaded from this site. 2 or 3 quarts should get you there.
In 78 Dodge started specifiing 10w30w for the 203's. IIRC, I have read that 10w30 was a better choice, performance wise. I have only used...
Ruh Ro!
Coyles went out of business earlier this month.
We are scrambling to find another location, suggestions welcome.
I have also edited the 1st post, with this info.
1st 3 already listed in the screen shot
speedtest download results consistent with above stated 256k DSL
and all those items are irrelevant to the issue of it being related to this particular web site.
Yes I know my computers are old & slow with poor visibility just like my Deuces. I just don't...
Ummm, I listed two others forums with ads and lots of content that load 3 times faster than SS and show correctly on a little old monitor.
But it's my system that makes SS take 3 times as long, with everything stacked on top of everything because there is no side to side scroll bar...
It typically takes at least 30 seconds to load a page here.
While over at G503.com pages take 8 to 10 seconds to load
same PC, same ISP connection, two browser windows open (not tabs).
Funny thing is g503 opens up and is actually viewable with a standard crt monitor and resolution settings that...
my internet connection is only an issue with websites that cram too many ads and other crap, causing some users to experience excessive waits.
Then say, "it's your problem, you should upgrade"
I can still view most web sites without the slowness issue of places like this who think everyone has...
Understandable, The Wings Over Gaylord Show doesn't have the attendance numbers required to get the Thunderbirds.
Although the Michigan MVPA is already committed to participating and co-ordinating Historic Military Vehicles for the Gaylord show. The Yankee B-25 and/or B-17 will be missed in...
A M886 I had would drain the battery after a few days, never did figure that out.
(Although I never really tried) I just always disconnected the battery.
Need to check connections, power wire rubbing on metal with bad insulation is a possibility.
I have several of these trucks and found over...
