I added a Donaldson M070028 just like Katahdin posted above. It fits between the mirror assembly and the fender. I guess it decreased the sound by at least 50%. Perfect for me.
Attached is the official Donaldson Muffler spec sheet. Open it and search for the M070028.
You can tell by the smell. Stick yer finger in the fluid and give it a whiff. :)
If you're unfamiliar with the different scents of auto fluids you should probably get some in person help.
Don't drive it. Fix it first. Get familiar with this stuff. Read the TM's.

I thought about replacing the compressor but the compressor is 100% functional so I figured stick with it.
I guess factors which contributed to the bowing are...
The compressor is aluminum.
Heating and cooling how many times over how many years? Maybe it overheated?

Problem solved.
Both short ends of the compressor were bowed downward. We double gasketed it and used a very, very small amount of sealant on the mating surfaces and between the gaskets. We were very careful not to block the oil holes. Upon final assembly we put a thin coating off sealant on...
That hose is definitely 1 3/4 inches. I got a 3 foot stick of it from Napa. Cut to size as previously mentioned. A sawsall with a metal blade works great.

My son got another Deuce and a Jeep (lego, item number 7595) on his birthday. The boy is now beating me 3 to 1 on MV's. At least his leak less.
