Change your fuel filters. I got my deuce from the same source as you and the filters were not changed. See attached. Get some fresh oil and oil filters too. I went with spin on's for everything.
EDIT: This comment was intended for Deuce_and_a_Half_Dragon. Sorry Alredneck if I've misguided you.
Hi there,
See attached image.
What are the items which the red arrows point to? Hold down backing plates? What do they look like on the inside?
What is the hunk o' metal which the blue arrow points to?
Thanks
I have a deuce from the same guy. The bottom of my IP was wet as well. It was leaking from the bolt in the center of the Hydraulic Head and both 7/16 nuts on the fuel pump below the Hydraulic head were loose.
After I determined the bolt in the center was the cause I cleaned the head very well...
Cleaning, removing and torquing the center bolt to 52 ft lbs stopped the leak. My fuel pump was loose too so I tightened up the two 7/16 bolts on the front.
Thanks!
Uh oh... Elvis VS the pink 'Burban. I'm sorry to have caused this trouble.:-)
Tomorrow I'm going to remove the HH line ID plate then start her up so I can truly see where the fuel is coming from.
I believe I previously saw it should be 65 - 70 FT LBS so 70 sounds good to me.
Hey Gimp and GH...

Warthog - Thanks for the warning.
Robo - I hope today has been better to you. I ordered my filters from Erik's Military Supply so I figure I've got the real deal. I'll double check though.
DieselBob - Nice call.
Everybody else - Below are links to the two technical manuals mentioned

Hi there,
7 days into ownership of my 1970 Kaiser M35A2.
I'm trying to locate the TM for draining the crankcase oil. I've searched, read, downloaded the TM's from the resources section and searched again.
Could you point me to it?
Thanks much.
I used B & E notary in Brownstown 7 days ago. No problems. Antique plates received in three days. Make sure you have PA DOT form MV-41 filled out if you have an out of state title.
Since it is registered as an antique inspection and emission tests/stickers are not required and no annual...
