hmm i dont know about better only one place to look to see what you need.but two things to go wrong in one uniti think its more of personal pref.i just think they are cool i use to like the tic-toc tachs they had in the old mopars but they almost never worked right oh well neat anyway:roll:
ya we all do that sometime those extra pieces are called shoulder parts just throw em over your should and forget about but once in awhile we end up looking for where we threw them :?:
i was thinking the same thing nice tachograph.hey let me know when you get it home i work in lansing and wouldnt mind checking it out i,ve been thinking about getting me a m818 but wanted to get a better look at one first:roll:
this should all be in the instructions but think about it you moved the body three inches away from the trans now you need to lenghten the rod three inches to make everything back where it should be:roll:
yes right now the ratio is off cuz the rod isnt long enough .after you lenghten the rod three inches you will probably still need to adjust it.put the shifter in park and lossen the adjustment make sure the trans is in park and tighten the adjustment that should get you pretty close
try to put it in a place that is straight up and down . you need to be sure that where you put it wont make the rod hit anything i ussually put them close to the column whenever possible
sounds like the right one i wouldnt change it unless its leaking .they seam to be a big problem area on these truck and right now you are one of the lucky ones i would leave it at that .if you change it you could get it in just a slight different place and have it sitting have on the ridge that...
the wires going to the neutral safey switch are for the wire going to the starter relay and for the back up lights the center pin is for the back up lights it internally grounds to complete the circuit for the back up lights.and the two outer wires are for the starter wire they make continuity...
you have to extend the linkage rod going from the column to the trans it should be the 3inch long rod in the kit you bought .some cheap body lift kits dont come with it
i wouldnt waist my time flipping it just to tow it 12 miles the treads are ussually pretty rusty nad you need a BIG hammer to jar the lunnette loose most of the time.having it a little low in the front wont hurt anything not like anything is gonna hit the ground:roll:
the rest of the drive train will handle it just fine its been done .its all in how you drive wether it will hold up or not you can break a 10000 dollar race trans with a stock motor or you can runa hopped up motor on a stock trans .its all in how you work the go pedal.they run a spicer 3053a in...
i agree with maddawg.but i would use a trans from an a3 before i would use the engine.since it would be a huge improvement and having a hydro winch would be great you could put a remote so you could run it from outside and be able to watch the cable yourself.but if you were going to go through...
thanks for the pic bjorn :roll:it.s nice to see them in action doing what they were built for looks like the guy in the pass seat is a little scared to get wet:-D
i know they are amphibious. and chances are if you can afford one you can afford to play with one .i play with my toys and when i have to do maintence i dont cry i just do it .i would figure those would have a deep forging kit on them to keep the water out of the axles ,transfer case, trans ,and...
