    Cucv tires and rims

You can use PVC Pipe of the right diameter if you're not concerned with the run flats. The rubber "spacers" are run flats. there is a magnesium run flat as well as the rubber version.

    Cucv tires and rims

Yes. Search ebay for spacers. I talked to a mechanic when I picked up my deuce and he said that they used to just run 8 bolt hummer wheels on CUCVs and would just turn them around backwards. It reqired a little fender trimming, but worked well. It would look odd, but would work.

    How many deuce seats

Since getting my deuce and sitting in others, seat choice has become increasingly important to me. Obviously I'm going for a springer seat. The first pic shows a standard box type seat and the second pic shows a springer. I can't tell which the third pic is. Are there any other types I...

    100% used motor oil fuel.

I just found a pump that I can afford. Do you guys think this pump will work ok to pump through 2 filters? I don't care if it takes a while. I was going to use a 10 micron and then a 5 micron filter/water separator. I don't know what pressure/flow rate to use for a pump.

I hate to ask, how do you get 14.00's to inflate on ODIron wheels?

That's why you just remove the valve core.

I hate to ask, how do you get 14.00's to inflate on ODIron wheels?

Glad to hear you got it done! Seating a bead with ether is definitely a right of passage to truly becoming a man. You can even do it with the wheel on the truck!

I hate to ask, how do you get 14.00's to inflate on ODIron wheels?

I definitely would rather just remove the valve core and let it equal itself out than jump up with an air hose. I seriously doubt you have to worry about residual ether causing a blow out. I'm pretty positive it is all consumed in the explosion, and even if it weren't, ether isn't powerful...

I hate to ask, how do you get 14.00's to inflate on ODIron wheels?

Oh yea, I find it easier to spray a trail of ether down the tire and across the ground and light that instead of throwing a match like that guy did. You can also use the can of ether as a blow torch to light from a distance. It's a hell of a good time, especially for the first time. :-D

Ether http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=8287133 I've done it several times with 44" super swampers. Just make sure you pull the valve cores or the tire could explode.

Another sucessful recovery (2 M35s) with lessons learned

I play the trumpet. This is my sixth year now and after playing 2 overtimes in the first round of the NIT tonight, I feel like I'm ready to be done. ;-)

Another sucessful recovery (2 M35s) with lessons learned

That's a possibility. The truck had been starting on its own, although it would take a few cranks when it had sat overnight. I had to jump it yesterday when it was colder and rainy.

Typical cost to recover a deuce?

I just went to the local DMV. Check with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and see if they offer something similar.

Typical cost to recover a deuce?

No one checked anything on the truck I was picking up, but I did have to have proof of ins. and reg. for the vehicle I was driving on base. You don't need to worry about much of that if you're not going on a full on base. I don't know how FL works, but I got a couple 3 day trip permits to...

Typical cost to recover a deuce?

There should be a diagram on the dash, but the here it is anyway. It surprised me at first, but isn't bad once you get used to it. R 2 5 1 3 4 You have to push the shifter hard to the left for first and reverse.

Typical cost to recover a deuce?

Just make sure you look at the shift pattern before you take off (it's different) and make sure the tcase lever is pulled up.:-D
