I would think wider tires are better for sand not ice. thinner tires with chains would be better to cut through the ice but maybe Im wrong 1100 are also easier to change and cost less. at the mud hole the thinner tires cut through the mud 1100s are also not as tall so you get less clearance
Hi everyone. I'm towing an M925 (runs but over heats due to the water pump) with an M923 and medium tow bars from the N Tampa area to Deltona on I-4 (approx. 150 miles). This will be my first 5 ton tow experience and I don't want to mess anything up. I'm also new to 5 tons in general and am...
Is there a TM for 5 ton towing a 5 ton? As I read through this post I still have questions. If I'm towing another M923 that has power steering how do I tow it? I have medium military tow bars with feet for the bumper. Do I keep the rear truck off without steering and wheels straight? Do I need...
if you're going to add the weight to the front why not just leave it attached to the bumper and have the loop or bars secured to the hood? I'm going to leave mine in a job box secured to my bed

Does it matter if the front tires are larger? It will only matter when you flip it on to all wheel drive which you will only need in mud. And, in mud it wont matter if the larger front tires spin faster. Or is my thinking wrong?
My brother and I are going to get a plasma cutter and I'll pick up the steel locally. I think it would be to expensive to ship but thanks for the offer. I'm looking for 30 cal. protection. I'm considering thinner steel and multi layer design but that might be to complicated.
