    67 Kaiser-Jeep M35 repowered

Yes, we need pics. Is it a two stroke Detroit? How many cylinders? inline or "V"?

    New Member-Tennessee

You're just down the road from me. I don't know much about generators but if you need anything else, give me a shout.

    Non running M35 value

I'm not saying it's not a '89 but you need to check really well. I've seen '80s deuces advertised but when I went to look at them they weren't. Both times they were taking the date off the engine data tag and applying that to the year the truck was built. One was actually a 1953 and the other...

Do a search for batteries in the 5-ton forum. There was just a thread yesterday talking about 5-ton batteries.

    ATF or propane injection

I know about adding ATF to the fuel tank, I've just never heard of somebody injecting it. I've added to the tank before but didn't see much results power wise. I guess If you added a big enough ratio you could see a noticeable difference in power but I'd think that could cause other problems.

    ATF or propane injection

I've never heard of injecting ATF for power. Propane injection works but I don't think you'll notice much on a naturally aspirated (non-turbo) engine. Propane won't increase boost because you don't have any boost with the 250. You can add a turbo but you're putting a turbo on a engine that was...

    Non running M35 value

You sure you don't mean 11 cents a pound? That's about what scrap price is. $11 a pound would be over $14,000 for a w/w deuce. :-D Personally, I won't give over scrap price for a rough non-running deuce. Sure, you can make more than twice that in parts but I've done several and it's a lot of...

    73 35A2 Died

The cables that go up behind the passenger seat are for the slave receptacle. I don't know what your power problem is. It could be a number of things. Time to break out the multimeter, start at the batteries, and follow the current path until you find the fault. Also check all your grounds...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

You may be right about the -2. I still wouldn't be surprised if a deuce came from the military with a LDS-456-2 but as you said, it would probably be rare.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I'm not real sure that what you're saying will work. You cannot turn up the point that the IP defuels without increasing max rpm. The pump defueling is what determines max rpm. The only factor that controls max rpm is the IP fuel rate which is controlled by the governor. In other words, the...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

They are found in some M35a2s coming right from the government. Now I don't think any deuces came from the factory with a LDS-465 but some have been repowered with them by the military. I've seen a few come through GL.

    GL Mistakes not all bad

WM is right. It's like rolling the dice going by the description on a truck. I recently saw several trucks listed as "won't start" and "parts missing" but in the video it showed them driving the trucks. Just keep in mind that these deals can also go the other way. I've been on both sides of...

    M35 steering box seals?

I've had it in there for I'd say around 3 years. No problems that I've encountered. It does still stay wet a little around the shaft but it doesn't run down on the frame like it did with oil in there.

    M35 steering box seals?

You could do what I did and just run corn head grease in there. Changing the seal isn't too bad but getting to the seal to change it is a pain.

I've probably got one I would part with. Shoot me a PM if interested.

M939 winch system specs for hydraulic pump,

Here's a link that tells you how to read the numbers- http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CEMQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hydpump.com%2Fpdf%2FV10%2520and%2520V20.pdf&ei=Rp9PUYq4KpCo8ASjvoCABA&usg=AFQjCNFdKtjyC8iOY59Re2yZRNGP0EpY2Q&bvm=bv.44158598,d.eWU&cad=rja You...

M939 winch system specs for hydraulic pump,

Let me give it a shot off the top of my head. I think the pump is rated at 14gpm @ 1,000 rpm. The PTO turns right at 2,000 rpm at governed speed so that gives you right at 24-26gpm. This is all going by memory as it been awhile and the spec sheet is at work. I can give you concrete figures...

    deuce t-case issues

I'd call Kublos. I'm sure they will at least send you the parts to fix it to make it right.

    Newbie questions...auction prices...

I experienced the opposite of that today. I bid on a truck and it was getting close to closing time and the truck was still considerably lower priced than other trucks at the same location and I had a decent poxy bid in place. I started worrying "what's wrong with that truck that I missed"? In...

    MEP 003 frequency meter

I believe I'll stick with my $20 Hardy meter. I could buy 125 of them for the cost of one of the OEM ones. Surely I can come up with a way to waterproof it to save $2,480.
