I have 3 phase high leg at my store and a 15kw would likely run our walk-in refrigeration, some of which is 3 phase. I may look a bit closer at a MEP-004 as spring approaches. We lost power during a hurricane 7 years ago for 10 days. Fish bait tends to get stinky when that happens. Anyone...
Phil,
I thought so. Al and I live about 5 miles apart. I'll be back in the area in April from FL. Hope to see you some time. I won a 5kw and a 10kw, picked them up in late December, and hopefully will be able to get them running soon after return.

Al, Phil,
I believe Phil is the fellow with the "Farm Use" trailer I met at Mechanicsburg who was picking up a towbar he won. This was on the scouting trip I made to Meade and Mechanicsburg when I first previewed your Gensets. Very nice gentleman who has farming interests across the area from...
I have both and towed each of them several hundred miles behind a chevy 1/2 ton crew cab 4wd. Both tow beautifully. I prefer the 101a3 because of 55" between wheel wells and increased weight capacity of 1 ton. added width does nothing to towing visibility. 37" hmmwv wheels and tires will...
Are you fellows running these MEP-004a units 120/240 single phase? Anyone done it for an extended time without problems? have read that it could cause problems but certainly interested in doing so if it is possible.

This site is awesome! I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible to prep me for the task in April of starting my new units. Speddmnn, you are an encyclopedia. Thanks and happy new year to all!

wish i had one. i don't want to put that much strain on the deck framing (although it is way overbuilt) but thought i could use it to support a pulley as sort of an overhead deadman to brake a sliding load.
jimbob,
thanks. great thoughts. good i was a bit concerned that the box on the 101a3 looked flimsy, same for the 116a2 bed. i'll either tie off to the hooks on the pickup and run a rub surface over the box edge and see if that does the trick, or, since the generators are going onto a...
