    M998 Fuel Leak

    We had a M998 do the same thing in Iraq in 2003. It turned out to be a bad lift pump. Diesel fuel was leaking past the diaphragm and was being pushed through the vent system to the geared hubs / transfer case and then pushed out the air cleaner. The M998 ran fine just took a few more...

    Speedo way too fast

    I'd start with the speedo cable first. Disconnect from back of speedo and pull the inner cable out. Clean , lube and reinstall . Drive and see if thats works.

    50' Slave Cable ???

    I'm not sure, but back in the day (early 80's) when we had a bunch of 22 1/2 cranes at our unit. Each crane had a 50 foot slave cable with it. Came in handy when you couldn't get close because of the mud. We also had them for our 50,000 lb container handlers. I wouldn't cut your last one.2cents
