M816 Main Hydraulic Pump Leak Fixed

I'm not real familiar with the 816 pump mounting. Would it be possible to replace the seal without removing the pump? Just slide the coupling off? Dennis

    Cargo cover straps F/S

The other half of them are attached to the tarp on my truck, these are attached to the metal bow. For securing the tarp, with the sides rolled up. I've done it once, makes a nice open area in the back, with roof.

I've burned used hyd oil, but dang, burning the new stuff? I have so many things that could use the oil for what it's intended for... Guess I'm just jealous. Just spent 300 dollars on changing the oil in a lift.. Ouch.

    2 problems with my deuce B 4 I leave

Ah, okay. I was trying to think of how that was related to the compressor, makes more sense now.

    2 problems with my deuce B 4 I leave

Ohms on what motor? I think Tommy was confused, the air compressor has a problem, not the air conditioner(of which I really doubt you have). On your firewall(follow air line form compressor) there should be a air governor valve(or unloader valve). This is what turns your air compressor on and...

    Speedometer and Tachometer calibration

A weak return spring in your 40 year old tach would cause it to read high.

    A simple request

I'll throw my 2 cents in here. The new site is great for us that use/understand computers. If your not so computer savvy, I don't think you'll use it. I'm thinking of the stereotype MV guy, loves the trucks, has a business(or not), knows a lot about the trucks, and only uses a computer when...

    m109 want rv plates

I've done this with a bus in Ohio, don't know it if will work for you. Had to go the title office and convert the title to a RV title. In ohio, that means you had to have a table, bed, stove, and fridge/icebox. I just used a camp stove and an old cooler. No water/propane propane system...

    Airpack modification for towing

I haven't had a chance to check out a split system. Can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work, maybe someone else has done it. Dennis

    Flat Tow m342a2?

Just a note on tying the brakes together, I would recommend it. Any kinda of speed over 35 mph, and your stopping distance is forever without it. No need to modify the airpack, I just did that to make it easier. Just a 3/8(maybe 1/2) thread air nipple, and air hose to the glad hand will do...

    wreckers?

I was already a cool guy, M108 just makes me a really cool guy! And the data plate says crane on the M108, but I'm sure it will get some wrecker duties at some point. Dennis

1970 Deuce restored ,with a 7041 spicer aux gear box

There should be the same room, he didn't move the axle's back. If your bobbed truck has the axle in the same spot as the front tandem axle.

    Winch shaft help

The multi PTO shaft has more clearance, but others have used the gasser driveshaft by grinding some clearance, don't know if they did it to the shaft or the bellhousing. Dennis

Where you at uzi? I'm near Bucyrus/shelby/mansfield area, might be able to take a look at it. Not much I haven't fixed on these trucks. Dennis

    I just bobbed my Deuce

On the M108, I am using a parts M35 truck that's pretty complete to fix my M108 up. Going to save all the gasser parts, and put the mulit, overdrive transmission, airshift, and nice body off the parts truck on it. The M108's are rare enough to use a regular M35 to fix up. Maybe have 1200 in...

You know, not many people are going to understand your ohio slang... C-bus, is that related to the short bus? LOL
