I was just yanking your chain some, it was no problem. :-D I didn't go check but in my mind the M149 tank is a good bit shorter than the M107 but taller.
The M107 has baffles inside but I don't remember the M149 having any. Wayne
You could check batteries and voltage with them but that is about it.
In one of the PSs I think is a article about using the STE/ICE on a M151 and it should be the same things you could check on your truck. Maybe cranetruck or the guy on here that sell the PS has the number. Wayne
You may not find a M number on it or any manuals about it. Ddoyle said those belong to the Engineers. There are some pictures around for the one with the saw. This makes only the fifth one I've heard about. Wayne
The 2920-00-304-3493 comes back as for the M939, M939A1, M939A2 but the mounting flange is adjustable to 12 positions, so it should fit a lot of engines. Wayne
Well I already went outside and in the dark to get you the measurement from the M107A1 so dang it you are getting those anyway! :-D
M107A1 tank alone is about 48" wide and about 89" long,
Tank is about 31" tall and add about 7 to 8" for the manhole top and vent/fill tube(?).
The M149 is at the...
O, Boy I think I know now why it was turned in, my brother does most of the mechanic work and just told me the front reservoir is milky looking and chunky so it is a good bet that before it was discharged from service, it had the BSF change over and then someone added DOT-3. Wayne
According to the G/L site Frankfort KY is not a manned site so there should be a number in your paperwork to call for an appointment.
As for loading help I would say no but maybe someone that has been will post.
Good luck, Wayne
I bought a old (1975?) truck that was a ex-Air Force base truck and then a ex-Forestry truck and got it home yesterday.
The engine cranks and seems to run fine BUT no brakes, one of the reservoirs is dry so I assume I have a leak(s) somewhere in that part of the system.
I would prefer not to...
Article gives the web site and part numbers for all parts including the bracket.
Website gives a choice between a large and medium reservoir, shows pictures of both and the bracket and gives the dimensions of the bracket and reservoir.
Price back then was 60.00, how much was your? Wayne
If top speed is important find a civilian model, while the M1009 may run 70 mph there no insulation to deaden the noise.
For all the information on the two (M1009, M1008 and the others) check the top of the page, click "Resources" then "TM" and look for TM 9-2320-289-10 right click on that...
Nothing for your purpose, just find one without the electronic (for the bug out), then paint the F250 or K30 green and you are a instant MVer. Good Luck, Wayne
