Or buy a new torque rod with the inserts, remove that one. It's not a real fun job, but follow the TM's makes it much easier. I replaced all the torque rods on my M35A3 with NOS when one failed, quite a job. I couldn't get a couple out till I consulted the TM, I had missed pounding on the bottom...
Hmmm..... I apologize, guess I was cracking open the wrong thing when I did mine recently. It started right up after my filter change. Thanks, sometimes the tms arrows don't really go to where it is!
I have an A2 where the fuel lever hangs up on the cable not allowing it to move fully forward sometimes, it will either not start at all or run very rough. Just something to make sure of, the fuel lever is fully forward when cranking.
What freaken dryer under the dash? The pneumatic controller is supposed to repeatedly cycle until all tires are up to the proper pressure. Use the hand throttle, set it at 1500rpm or so, and let the pneumatic controller fill the tires, use that time to walk around and see if there are air leaks...
5 lights can be anything from major leak, to having a schrader valve where the airline on the wheel attaches to the turret(a good indicator of this is to try airing up each tire manually at the wheel valve stem If you can't air the tire up there is a schrader valve where the line connects to the...
Also counted the shifts, Someone pointed out there are more than 5 what seems like shifts, converter locking up feels like one. If you are only going 45 you're in 4th. Mine at 2200 was about 52. When I put the selector in 1-4 I was counting the same amount of shifts as when I had it in 1-5.
Your modulator cable might be holding it back. I was trying to adjust my modulator cable, ended up reducing my rpms by holding back full movement of the throttle cable. Just something to check.
My Rpms would go to 2200 and I wanted to make sure the modulator cable was fully extended so I...
Are you sure it's actually shifting to 5th? I thought mine was shifting to 5th but someone pointed out it's 4th gear running at 2200rpm @ 52mph. Mine is the same whether I have it in 1-4 or 1-5 so they were right. My linkage is fine. The TM's merely say if it's in the neutral position and it...
It starts trying to air up the tires at startup, thats normal. I If it never stops flashing then it never achieves filling them up. Another leak somewhere most likely.
