atankersdad- i was pulling 60mph with 9.00/20's at around 2500rpms. at the same rpm with the 395's a friend of mine (a cop) clocked me at 78mph, but that was REALLY pushing it!
401-j10- the 9.00-20 tubes are wayyy to small! i had to order tubes for a 13.00/14.00R20 tire, they were about $35 a peace.....
jakob- i got the tires from c and c equipment, just south of Indy..... do you have a deuce? another person around here that doesn't think I'm nuts would be nice:evil:
mine is not that bad! lol i would try to fix your alignment... mine wandered on the state roads if i got over 50mph, but on the interstate i was doing 75 with no problem! (2 hands on the wheel though:!:) i think alot of the problem it a deuce tracks wider than a normal car or truck, and the...
i envy you!!! lol i set the tire and rim on top of another rim, under the front bumper of the truck, and put 4x4s around the tire, and pushed them down with 2 bumper jacks.... it took about 4-5 hours per tire start to mount:grd:
baxter- i think thats normal... mine wanders also, i am gunna mess with the pressures and see if it makes a difference.... i'm running 80psi right now.
lildeuce- there the best thing u could do to improve your deuce! it makes it ride ALOT better, plus I like doing 70+ mph:evil: lol
the plan is to convert it into a camper, and use it on the dolly with the deuce... as far as backing it up, i back hay wagons every day, its just a bit bigger! lol i also called the Indiana DOT, and they told me that as long as its my trailer, and my truck, being used for Private use, i'm...
i am looking at a m348a2 at redstone AL, and was wondering if i could pull it on a dolly with a deuce? its a 320mi trip from there to home (Louisville KY) is this safe? and is mt deuce set up for the brakes?
thanks guys for all the help, my next day off from work is sunday, so i'm gunna try again then! i did set the rim up on another rim, but it was also 35 degrees out side and that might have kept the sidewalls from flexing?
I know your not really suppose to do this, but i have 6 395/85r20 Michelin xml's i need to mount.... i have tried everything i can think of to get the tire pushed down far enough to get the lock ring on! aua
so any ideas?
i have been to the indiana bmv 3 times now(1 1/2 hour wait every time:evil:) and i took a copy of the code every time(in-9-18-14) and they have told me every time that, they have never heard of it, and i am S*** out of luck!! but they said that they could regester it historical...... i also...
