I got it to run very briefly today by putting gas directly in the carb. I'm not getting any fuel from the tank to the carb so I think I think a new fuel pump/lines are in my near future.
I had been watching the one you just bought on ebay since the first day it was listed. I would be glad to buy it from you, I just didn't see the point of starting a bidding war.
thanks recovry, I have access (I think) to some welded wheels, so there is no need to add that to the load. ignition parts on the other hand....

The guages all seem to work and the buzzer is much louder than I expected. The motor will turn over. None of the lights work, but I doubt this truck has been driven in the dark in the last 15 years.
I was planning on taking the tank to a radiator shop to have it cleaned out. (some rust inside from sitting). Can I make up some muratric acid to clean it out myself? The rust doesn't appear that bad, I just want to start this project with a clean fuel system.
I am going to need to paint my gas tank, the first of many(all of them) parts that I will be painting. I will be starting with bare metal.
I have a series of questions
1. what color should I be looking for? 1952 REO M45 green, but not carc
2. what primer should I use?
3. How much paint...
