To help troubleshoot vacuum issues I keep a cheap vac/boost gauge in my tool box,Sunpro cp8203 at Summit 8$,after replacing rubber hoses it helped narrow things down.On my first 1009 it needed a new pump, regulator and modulator. On my second 1009 the gauge helped me narrow things down to just the...
It sure would be be nice to see a charging diagram for how this works.Like the ones in the stickies for the factory setup. My brain gets very small when it comes to electrical.Looking at the diagrams for the original set-up I can almost see how the conversion works it but Im missing something.
IMO they should have come from gm with 2 1/2 pipes, with all the compression these motors have they like to breathe, and if you can add a H-pipe or X pipe you can pick up a bit more torque.
You are correct on batt. draw, thats why a lot of guys who have done bypass have 12v alt belt noise at initial start-up.Since doing my second bypass on my second 1009,I keep a close eye on my front batt.

No need to thank me,thank joshuak for digging it up and Albin the orig.poster.Cucvlover filter 3426 might be a more to your liking.Compare measurements and thread count and microns to determine which will work best for you.
Go to page 242 and check out post #2417,its really helpful for choosing a fuel filter.I think the orig.box styles were either 5 or 10 microns.I think 10 but not sure anymore. The guy behind the counter doesn't care about your truck, but we do.
