Swapping an axle with another identical one is about 2-3 hours work, assuming the new one is proper and ready to go, and all tools and whatnot are handy. This is assuming the brakes will need to be bled after the swap of course, and maybe re-set up.
Making sure you have new u-bolts and...

I use these on my exhaust for several projects, and they work great. Great idea, an great results.

About $220 a year through Gulfway (Traveler's policy)...
Not an antique, but not commercial either...just registered as a hobby vehicle. I can haul stuff to the dump and get firewood, but I told them less than 500 miles/yr on the truck (which is about right anyways).

Congrats on a great buy!
Mine has the LDS as well...installed by Idaho Motor Pool to replace the grenaded engine in it when they bought it at auction.
Lots of power...almost never have to downshift on the freeway when pulling long hills in the mountains.
RE: arb
I can't list the price here, but Tim at Wild West Off Road is still offering a special deal on them. These are the first ARB locker kits for the 2.5 ton Rockwell axles. He has about 5 left (from people who backed out on the original deal), ready to ship immediately!
I ordered...
IIRC there are a few different sizes too...they are not all the same size/length (both in bolt size and in length).
I've seen a few sets on ebay from time-to-time. See if you can find someone here with a busted winch...buy it for parts.
If you do decide to order them "special" from an...
Amazing as always Damon. I really wish we could have seen that truck at the show, but I know how it is. Guess we'll be driving to Denver in a few years. :) This is a shoe-in for best-in-show IMO.
Someday soon I'll get up there and have a visit. Maybe those HEMTT seats will be mounted in my...
The MVPA should be all over this...offering help with legal assistance and coordination of efforts. There should be full-page announcements about this completely unacceptable situation in every issue of Supply Line and Army Motors, and taking out ads in Military Vehicles magazine.
Why there...

Keep fighting...

Great pics!
