Dad's out of wood, so off I go to get some. Amish sawmill had bundles for 5 bucks. Bundles are 4-5 foot round, 10-12 foot long, and I thought about 1500 lbs. When I get home and the tractor is struggling to pick them up, I would guess at least 2500 lbs a bundle.
So this place is 150 miles...
Dang, I tried to sell the 9liter out of a bus and no one wanted it. Sold the whole bus for 700. Is it smaller than a 3208? Redline was 2800 and we ran it at 2700 for hours.

Are the mainshafts turned down on the lathe, or ground? What kind of price increase for a different ratio? Do you have pics of the second gear with holes?
Dennis
Personally not worried about the tire/speed issue.
What kind of harding is done to the gears? Are they going to last? 5th is where the truck spends the majority of the time driving.
I am interested, but will have to save up for it. What other ratios are you thinking?
Dennis
I find it fun to have an unlocked tank. Somebody stole some fuel out of it, but whatever they put it in won't run! At that time I had 30% gasoline, 10% diesel, and 60% used motor oil.

RE: Re: SS GA Event lodging
I'm not going to make it. Dang lugnuts, whoops, I mean strike. Have to pinch too many pennies. Really wanted to meet some folks, maybe next year.

No kidding Gimpy.
Won't know about the extra rims for a while. I need at least one of them.
Went to work today, got sent home at 11:00. I'm just a lowly worker....If I get back to work in the next 2 days, I will try for GA.
Truck is ready!

Rod is ugly. Don't know if it can be ground and replated, but with those rust pits, no seal will last. You think water bent the steel over that far? Almost looks like something got caught in there, and then water got in.
Does anyone have pics of these installed from the military on the M35...
Finally got the deuce singled with 11-20 NDCC tires. Used a set of rims from the GMC M135 deuce and half.
Had the rims shot blasted, then painted with primer and auto paint. I took the paint code to a local paint shop. They were able to use it, but the only in their expensive line. When...
Can anyone tell me what code the 383 green paint is? Want to pick up some paint locally, doesn't need to be carc. Would Napa or a automotive paint store work?
Thanks,
Dennis
