GM also has a 9.5 inch 14 bolt used in 2500's
The dually 1028's all had dana 70's out back.
The "locker" is also the ring gear carrier, so no you can't be swapping it to other size units.
Hey Gimp,
I want one of the bottle jacks for my deuce. I don't think I'll be able to make it down though. (dagnabit!)
I can send payment, if you can hand off the jack to Eric aka 319.
Yep if he would have / could have brought them today he would have gone home with extra cash!
No biggie, we'll just have to meet up & trade wheels & cash.
Heading out to PMCS the M880 for an early am southbound departure.
If you are interested in M880 stuff,
post your wants/needs tonight & I'll load the stuff in the truck.
Otherwise I will have minimal stuff to sell with me.
Talked to the wheel wanter today.
He just needs the center sections to put into some tractor wheels.
Don't have to be riveted wheels.
He has a source to get plates mades for $30 ea, but is trying to go cheaper!
I've seen high asking prices also.
Selling prices, well................
A used M880 grill is worth what a cheapskate M880 owner will pay for it.
I got $20 for one a couple years ago.
Looking for 4 deuce wheels, would prefer rivited centers.
actually only need the center sections, don't need the lock rings, the rim itself does not have to be servicable just the centers.
not for me, for a friend in town with a mud bogger, who only wants to pay $20 each.
She went to the scrap yard on Monday morning, never left the trailer.
Covered the purchase price and gas for the M884, so for a couple days labor I have my power steering & a few spare parts.
All body panels had rust through.
GSA doesn't charge for them, and even does them in a timely manner.
Doesn't matter, if GL can't charge for the SF-97 they'll call it a document fee.
Nothing wrong with a senator asking questions to keep GL on theirs toes.
DH,
as these were the same basic design from 72 to 93. I think the whole 92 steering setup could be transferred to an M880.
75-77 parts could be interchanged, other years require more donor parts.
I can help with some of those parts needs.
Will send PM
The mission is to have it out of here...
Found a '76 Ramcharger for slghtly less than scrap value!
My M884 serves as my plow truck / work truck.
It ain't easy backing an 18 ft car hauler without power steering either.
Got the power steering off it already and now we are Processing this ramcharger prior to the scrap yard monday...
There seems to be fewer 76's than '77's.
I've also seen them get the wrong model year on the SF97's so it could be a 77 ????????
They don't come around everyday, and the rear compartment litters are hard to find.
Fair price? screw it, does it look good to you? buy it.
$500 to $7500 fully restored
