Agreed. Did you look into why it wasnt working or just cap the line because it was leaking? the time and money you spend on a different way to heat the cab, you could have the same outcome (working heat) by fixing your fuel fired heater. if you have a warm place to work on the truck, i say why...
I started mine a couple weeks ago when it was 11 degrees out. it cranked a little bit but did fire up. maybe some fresh batterys and it would spin over better. I cleaned all the connections as a PM. not bad i say :)
When i put my adapters on, i cleaned both surfaces with thinner and i put a thin, thin coating of "right stuff" on the paper gasket. This "right stuff" is made by permatex and is absolutely awesome stuff. my original oil filter canisters leaked and i didnt want the same problem with my adapters...
Very nice! It seems like you dont see many of these trailers around. what do people do with them? i know obviously haul water with them, maybe spray crops and fertilizer.... but what other uses are there? I still want to get a M105A2 someday (just because i want one and could use it for...
I put cardboard over my radiator before i got the winter front cover and it did help, but the temperature was about 35 degrees out. -3 degrees out is really cold no matter what, but maybe the thermostat is stuck a little and not letting it warm up. Im not suggesting to tear right into it because...
what about putting a battery charger onboard? so when you plug your truck in, it warms up the engine and charges the batterys (5 or 10 amps maybe) so they are "warmed up". I know literally warm batterys are good, but what about just charging them before you start? seems like they would warm up a...
I fired my deuce up today for the first time in about a week, week and a half. Temp was about 20 defrees F. It cranked for a little while with my foot to the floor i was bumping the manifold heater and eventually it stayed running but only about 400 rpm. Foot was still to the floor and i was...
I looked on youtube and only found a couple videos of multifuel cold starts. i dont know why, but cold starts always seem to be pretty neat. its almost a true test to any engine of how good it runs to overcome the cold to start. we'll see how good mine does tonight. I think i am going to attach...
i like it! how did you split the exhaust? i often wondered if you had a non turbo Multifuel and split the exhaust manifolds to fun duals. My friend has a Brockway 260 with a split exhaust manifold and it sounds good :-)
Im not sure. i know i see my deuce down at the shop and just itch to go cold start it and let it warm up. i have the winter front cover on mine, so that helps it warm up, but its still a slow warm up. tonight is supposed to get down to 11 degrees F and i want to see how good it starts. The only...
Good Point. Im the same way with my winch. i need to get some aluminum pins. seems like any grade of alminum will be better than a grade 2 bolt. I should buy another 10 ton snatch block anyway though.... just because.
i had the same problem with my winch even using a 10 ton snatch block. i have a grade 2 bolt in it now. i dont like that i have that bolt in there, but its the best i can do for now. i just use my head when im pulling something and always use a snatch block. I might even buy another snatch block...
I changed my copper line from the primary filter to the rubber hose on the IP also. I thought about replacing that hose also just because it looks a little wet around the hose. Was your hose in the IP leaking? How hard of a job is that to do? Where did you get the hose? it seems like a hydraulic...
that is in the TM. I believe you pretty much dead head the pump. but i dont know how important that is because the actual nozzle has an over flow for it. not to say that shouldnt be over looked. I believe there was a thread on here before where somebody rebuilt their pump.
have you taken the...
mine didnt work when i bought my truck. the pump did not work at all, ignition unit buzzed but no spark and i was not sure what the nozzle was like. I replaced the pump and new spark plug and now it works. It was down to 20 degrees here the other night and i started it up just for fun.... while...
