I was keeping track of this and won it today:
STUDEBAKER MDL MEP-017A GENERATOR, METER INDICATES 50HRS, W/ HERCULES MDL 2A042III 2CYLINDER AIR-COOLED, 4CYCLE, GAS DRIVEN ENGINE
I am hoping to make this the round out on my duece to supplement the inverter charger already mounted under the seat...
This is so way cool are there going to be chalk mark convoy numbers and convoy ahead, convoy follows and convoy commander signs? I know my convoy commander sign got me out of a lot of speeding tickets all over CONUS as I usually just got a wave and a slow down admonition since I was usually...
My problem with propane is the cold makes it difficult to get it to flow. I have to take my small torch and put it in the coffee cup holder right in front of the heater vent in my suburban for five minutes to get it to give enough pressure to light
RE: Tool trailer
Just called them and they are still having problems with the site this TM should not be locked I have an account and still can not access any of the ones I do normally for my job. They are still trying to fix this so keep trying.
Please do post the pictures sounds like a good laugh now that you are running and warm. I am glad you got going. When I was a truck mechanic in the Berkshire Mountains big trucks would jell up all the time in the winter if they did not run Power Service or another brand of de-icer.
They...
I spent so many hours in Iraq trying to make sense of the huge excess that was everywhere. This is what contributed to the case so much stuff so little control. I am still working on this issue with the Army trying to get the COA together to attack the problem at its roots, unit...
If you all are leaving on Tuesday what day will you roll into Aberdeen? Just want to make sure I am on the same sheet of music as I thought it was starting on Friday
RE: Will the Deuce pull a 40
Towed my M127 with the dolly I built and it was a slow go on any hill but could make 55 on flats with a long run. The duece will handle it but it will take a lot of patience and a lot of time with the four ways on because you will be going a lot slower than 45 MPH...
One of the primary causes of hot rod rice burning cars losing a wheel is that they run the wheels dished out by reversing them. I am not a rocket scientist but the front axle on a duece was designed to run a single wheel and tire and adding the extra wheel and tire would put a much larger load...
RE: Where to get ubolt for mounting the M-66 legs to the cab
I think it was my post that said I am looking for the bolts they are a strange not home depot friendly size and I have not found them but am getting ready to make them if need be. What else is a torch and a welder for anyway.
The first place I would start would be your source for the truck. If that has no hope I would contact Oshkosh trucks to see if they have any information on it and lastly go to DRMS to find out the disposition they put on the truck. PM me with any questions
Boy that looks great I am one pole and the ubolts short of getting the supports up and then I was going to fab a ring mount fake.
To answer the question about still using dueces in Iraq and Afghanistan the answer as late as last July is yes. They have sold a lot of them to the Iraqi Army and...
Mark:
I am glad you made it home safely I hope the work is not too bad and that you get warmed up before spring. We were praying for a safe trip and glad that you and the truck are home safely.
We have been there twice with my son's TJ 7 inch lift and lots of climbing $$ added to it and the place is great, he broke the spiders in the POC dana 35 and they gave us some used ones to get us noisily home. I doubt that they have any duece parts but the place has tons of places to go...
I have been tooling around with the idea of making one out of I beams and the lunette from one of the parts dollys I have. They are not too much of a rocket science project and since I always over build not being an engineer I think it will work any thoughts?
