The short answer is that these have a switch to do that for you.
The MEP-016 and MEP-017 are 6-wire 3-winding sets. I'll be the first to admit I do not know those sets, nor the one mentioned above, personally.
I only know that to rewire a 208V WYE for single phase 240/120V, the connections...
according to this, the set makes 120V to neutral, so it is a WYE setup.
If you need 120/240V, and if indeed the alternator is a 6 (or 12)-wire one, and all three (or 6) windings have both ends available for connecting, you can convert that to a single phase 120/240VAC set by placing two of the...
Right on about the air tools! what a difference for the olde arthritis! Thanks for the offer on the isolators, I will do some measuring and see about allowable height. In 'parallel' with the preparation on the truck, I guess I need to figure out how to mount the genset to the brackets, and jack...
.. yew sure got a prurty alternator bracket.. I can see how it must have took a day to make it. Nice curves! It looks very space age. Have you considered punching round holes in the vertical sections, large near the kompressor, and getting smaller near the tip?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: flame throwing deuce
Oh Yeah! it's your truck! Got pictures of these items?
Devilman, your case is just 'special'.. you know those CXT owners will be jealous!
The 275 has the air tanks in a different place. Well I bought a pneumatic cut off tool, 20,000RPM handheld thing with a 2.5" wheel on it. Tomorrow if it does not rain i will first try to loosen the air tanks and move them a bit, then try to get a wrench over the nuts of the spare tire bracket...
A couple things come to mind. Since fuel is less viscous than (cold) oil, the fuel pump will be under quite a load pumping lube oil. A robust pump should be selected to prevent burning out the motor or breaking a plastic gear? Maybe OK for intermittent duty, but the flow rate would be much lower...
I think cost-wise, the made rims you came out ahead. Some buddy of mine tells me you can pay to have this done for maybe $50/wheel if you supply the materials. You guys with the torches etc are in good shape.
That's really nice work, a great improvement for winch clearance. I think you could indeed sell them! Like the man said, it is beautiful, industrial art.
I'm all for beefy bumpers, even on smaller trucks. I am alive now because of this one I designed and had built. -and it didn't really get...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: flame throwing deuce
I have mentioned spinners made from old deuce rims (I know who has centers already cut out..).. but only as a joke.
Here is my personal list of forbidden items (with qualification)
NO!
NO chrome, (any chromed items must be painted some kind of OD)...
After calling speaking with the chief chemist of Warren oil company, a Mr. Gary Whiteside, I am informed that the Warren 80W90 and 85W140 GL-5 do meet or exceed the MIL-L-2105 specification (superseding the spec) called for in the LO as well as having the correct "MT-1" formulation to prevent...
If mounted on a pipe behind the cab, the pipe is supposed to be 5 FT high with a sugar scoop mount attached by U-clamps. The antennas should be tied down pointing forward when moving. Good for NVIS on HF and VHF but not to good for long distances. Mine are arranged as they are so I can drive...
I think Bjorn made up a canister so that the slobber tube could vent in there, and the oild would remain in the can, the fumes then going up to the air filter.
