SWEEET!!
I've always wanted a tach that I could mount that would not intrude into the cab and draw attention to that.
THAT DIESEL TINY TACH will be just the ticket.
thank you very much...
I've owned a deuce. Super singled it. Did a few other things.
Sold it (long story). You DO NEED Soldier 'B' a whole lot more than on any type of CUCV maintenance you will do. And if you can't or don't want to do your own maintenance you CAN take it to the Chevy dealer. It won't be cheap...
I gotta go with hndrsonj on this one.
While I DO appreciate the ingenuity involved, I could never consider pulling anything I own with a home made tow bar . I just waited until one of our club members bought a pallet of tow bar parts and started selling them after getting missing pieces...
Smittybilt G.E.A.R. Universal Seat Covers - Synergy Offroad
I love mine...
I'm kinda hoping JATONKA will be able to find some tan material for my M1028, but that's some time later this year. I gotta repaint the dashboard of my M1028 and one of my M1009's to the correct color tan bronze...
I keep a full compliment of bulbs and fuses in a plastic case so I can replace EVERYTHING short of the headlights and I generally have one spare of those. All the other stuff as has been said...
A Glock knife and a couple of folders. A deck of cards. Two rolls of tp and one roll of hand...
DH,
While I concur, being safe IS the big thing, even I have goosed a truck on the way home when the road was empty and dry...
And yeah, smart? Probably not. UNSAFE? PROBABLY NOT.
And this is my whole point.
WHY IS IT, that every one automtically assumes the worst.
YES, we have had...
I replaced my mufflers with a free flowing triple chamber muffler. Fairly quiet until you gain upper rpms and then you do hear the muffler a little bit more.
Does make it RUN much better. Goes well with my K&N air filter and modified air filter top.
Good air in and good air out makes her a...
I can't remember which wire that I used, but when I add an electric fuel pump, it is connected to a part of the fuse box that comes on ONLY when the ignition switch is ON.
I will say the 1" feet I got were about $70 each. But for $140 plus s&h, it WAS WELL WORTH IT. Without this tow bar, ONE TOW from anywhere in Denver to my house would be well over what I paid for the bar AND the extra set of feet.
And yah, heavy doesn't quite cover it. I use my two wheel...
if you like the dynamat, try fatmat...
I buy it by the roll. Works great. it does 'gas out' a little more than the dynamat (smells bad for about two, three days as it 'cures in place' so to speak).
I can't wait to see the wheels mounted ON YOUR TRUCK. Love the bracket around the solargizer...
OLDCHEVY4X4,
Looking good... I too started with 3/4" feet. Took me a while, but I DID manage to pick up a set with TWO pairs of 1" pins. I got them from Beltfed34 on Ebay. Very good man. Just realize he doesn't always have them. But contact him and get on his list and when more come in he...
Rich,
WARN should make a replacement hub for you. I can't tell you where to get one in your area, but I'm SURE you can do an internet search and come up with several retailers.
ranchhopper,
Could you take some close up of the lights, light bar, how it's attached. and how they turn them on...
I too have a light fetish. I have already put on set on one of my M1009's.

And thanks for the tip...
I live in Denver and if you are looking for an M1009, drop me a line AFTER you sell your Jeep. No offense, but I've got the vehicles I want, and they are all green (or three color camo).
But I might consider selling ONE of them (I have two)...
Drop me a PM. I'd gladly discuss what other...
If you are planning on towing that kind of weight regularly, you NEED at least an M1008 to do that. IT WILL handle that and more.
As has been said, the lighter weight M1009 was not designed for it. NOW, I have seen M1008 axles stuck up under an M1009, but I've always questioned the overall...
Correct STANADYNE part number for JUST THE FILTER BASE ASSEMBLY is 24285 - that is the old STANADYNE number. If you use that and contact almost ANY CAT dealer, they can sell you a new base.
They are not cheap.
But I've replaced every filter base assembly on every CUCV I've purchased. In...
The side tanks on ANY GM truck (M1008/M1028/M1010/M1031, etc) is TWENTY GALLONS. Unless you have changed the tank, that's what's up under the bed. YOU CAN add a passenger side tank and that adds another twenty.
Then as has been said above, put in a suburban diesel fuel tank in the rear -...
even if it's 53K units times two - the max would be 106k total... Over three years?
I have been looking for the breakdown forever....
no one I know of actually has the total number or any breakdown of those numbers ...
