Did it still have the S250 shelter on when you got it? Is it an M1028A1 with the np205 t-case and pto? Any parts of the communications kit remaining? More pics please! ;)
Great write-up! This may sound bizzare, but I had a front axle u-joint on my M1008 start 'freezing' up one time. It caused a number of problems that would lead me to think the problem was elswhere. Steering would lock up while in a turn, wheel wouldn't center, etc. One minute it would be fine...
I picked up a NIB canvas cover at General Jims Surplus in Clare, MI the other week. Thought I would share the info in case anyone else is looking for one. Fits the MEP-016 perfect. They were priced at $15 and they had a few of them.

Looks great Will. You could flip the lunette to get some more heigth out of the front of the trailer. You may be able to mount your pintle lower then too.
