You can buy a one wire delco alternator. They are easy to hook up just one wire to the battery. I have seen them on ebay or you can google "24 volt delco alternator" Very easy and much better than a generator.
We had this amazing truck parked at my work today. It is a USMC M23 MTVR.

2centsWhenever you do something out of the norm, know the laws better than your neighbors. I personnally think its not good to butt heads over our MVs. You get people to start griping to city officials then they start passing more laws/restrictions on our hobby. Before long the hobby goes away...
First of all welcome . Second this is not a hobby, its an addiction. You dont get into it it invades you. Honestly you will love it and the CUCvs are great vehicles. You can find a lot of parts in the classifieds here, and at the advertisers here. Ebay is a good place also. Alot of your...

There is a spray in liner called Lizard Skin that works as a sound deadener and insulation. Alot of custom car builders use it. Very good stuff. Probably right up your alley. I also like your caddy seats. I say do with the truck whatever makes you happy. To me these trucks are like a blank...
I have had old muscle cars that are harder to find parts for and they broke down much more often. If you really break a deuce down to nuts and bolts you really cant find a much simpler and overbuilt vehicle. Hopefully your friend will tell more people this too. That way there will be more deuces...
My son is doing a video log of our resto-bob. This is the newest edition. There are a couple earlier updates I will add soon. Just to clarify. We took the bolts off because we ran out of oxygen for the torches.
Parking a deuce in a subdivision with a HOA will probably go over like a turd in a punch bowl. I think your alternate plan of keeping it at your moms is best. You will never win against HOA nazis.
You could also bring it to Ohio and store it in my back yard. I will even drive it around for...
Those are great pics littlebob.
Ron, You know as soon as we sell a few bobbed units, a 5 ton wrecker is what we will have. I kinda get a chubby just thinking about it.
