Onan control panels are super simple, at least the one in my coach is.
One dpdt or spdt switch for start stop and a hour meter.
If it is an older model it will likely be the same. Schematic should be in the service manual. From what I could gather it is just an extension of the start stop...
I actually have a version on my phone. Not the typical happy birthday you sing since that version is copyrighted.
Also got 100+ kid sing-a-long songs too, perils of having 4 small ones.
There is more to this than just swapping alternators. If you put in another and it is outputting 12.5 volts and the batteries are indeed good I would check the regulator.
Charging system is very simple. Field is energized by the available voltage in the batteries giving you your output.
Load test your batteries. The alternator will not output 28 volts, that is why it has two stock in its 24v state.
How are the batteries wired, series, parallel?
Normal charging should be around 13.8 volts, but if your batteries are dead then once the alternator reached it max amperage output...
Track is a pain but also easy if you have the right resources.
If you have to pull the track all the way off then this is what we would do on the 88 and m1.
Use your wrecker and pull the apc on the track leaving about 3 feet at the end of the drive sprocket. The use the little winch and pull...
Alright, I just won a repeater on flea bay so I'll bring it to the rally. Just need to figure out a split to use. It is a 2m 136-150 range so if that lets you know what frequency range we will be in.
MURS doesn't have repeater freqs so can't use it for that.
I'm sure it'll all be ironed out by...
That nokia phone, lol
I haven't even put the cvc headset on the vic-1 yet. Been so busy with the mechanical aspect. Next week I'm tackling the electronics so I'll be able to tell you then.
Yep
Pic of VIC-1 headset
Pic of CVC headset, just like yours. I washed my liner and repainting my shell. My umbilical cable is a little different than the one you posted.
VIC 1 umbilical, only 5 pins each connector.
My CVC umbilical only has 5 pins each connector also. This means I...
800 series is the same.
The contact box looks like the upgraded version. Given that the column would provide -24VDC. If the solenoid requires +24VDC he will either need to add a relay to actaviate -24V to the solenoid or remove the ground from the solenoid, add a constant +24 and run the...
You say that, and when I told the wife what I said she said the exact same thing. Our parish sheriff lives down the road to. I told her I'll just say it's a new alarm clock, chickens are getting to old, lol
No I won't do it at 4am, but it would be nice to see if it is working condition knowing...
When I go out tomorrow morning I'll put a tape to it, kinda curious of how tall it is. Weight is defiantly over 200 lbs. When the weather clears up I want to look at the electrical part and see if the motor free spins. If it does I'll try to get a part number to get specs on whether it is 220 or...
1070 has two horn systems, the manual air horn and a lower volume button horn.
The button does provide negative voltage to the solenoid. Constant + on one side of the solenoid and - from the button. Part of the troubleshooting procedure is to see if the +24 is present at the solenoid.
