With the band clamps removed, the 2 fittings that remain look a little different. is the missing larger black rubber and what appears to be 2 tan washers part of the mounting clamp? ( Red arrows )
I suspect the remaining ring ( Green arrow ) was somehow attached to the now loose coupler, but...
I have 2 of the exact same trailers... super heavy duty units, but haven't found much of a resale market, although I didn't try very hard either.
The air / hydraulic brakes and the lunette height are a bit of a down side, but I bet there is someone who could use it off-road, behind a tractor...
Very well could be a chaffed ( or chewed ) wire anywhere causing the problem.
Just have to isolate things to try to narrow it down till' you find the problem.
You are correct. CB1 is the DC breaker.... Not CB2.
It should be controlling pretty much all of your 24V system.
I'd try disconnecting the fuel pumps first.
Maybe try disconnecting the primary pump first, since the aux. pump requires you to remove the end panel around the fuel filler.
Sounds like someone mistakenly threw in an SAE flare fitting ( 45* angle ) instead of a JIC / -AN 37* angle fitting.
Might seal when used on copper, but probably not when used with that stainless hard line.
Hello and welcome. My first thought would be to unplug both fuel pumps. The primary and aux. to see if one is shorted.
As Scoobyshep mentioned.... I assume you meant the DC circuit breaker is popping??
Since this machine is new to you, first thing I would do is open the AC reconnect box and count the number of turns the fat AC lines make through the CVT assembly. If someone swapped out the AC box with an 003 box your readings will be very low.... about 1/2 what they should be.
Next thing to...
Hi Mike, sounds like your pump may have damaged the plunger guide.
I can definitely help you.
Do you happen to know if you have an Ambac pump or American Bosch?
Ambac is no problem, the American Bosch could possibly be a problem depending on what is damaged, but either way I can take a look.
You...
Check reply #46 if you are still interested in a really nice 802. I can sell it with or without the trailer.
send me a PM if interested in taking a look at it.
Unfortunately it was home made. I cut a ring out of 1/8" rigid plastic just slightly larger diameter than the float.
Then drilled the a hole in the center tight enough to press the disc onto the end of the sender, then a little JB weld quick epoxy to secure it to the sender.
Initially I was...
I agree... sounds like the metering pumps are borderline at best. Some times the pins will be loose enough to move just by tilting the pump side to side.
If you can't flick the pin side to side with 1 finger there is a problem.
I have had good luck soaking them in the gallon size can of Gunk...
The metering pump you show is not stuck compressed, it looks fine.
Make sure the levers ( pins) that fit into the rack are free to move on both pumps.
you might also want to remove both pumps ( it isn't a big deal if you remove both together ) and make sure the rack is moving freely itself.
As...
In addition, you can buy most of the gaskets directly from Cummins and the prices are often cheaper than other on-line places.
For instance if you google MEP-002a head gasket you will find a place selling them for $99, but if you go to Cummins it is $15.
If you can't find something specific let...
I wouldn't be overly concerned with the compression just yet. if you have 370 in both cylinders and it starts up ok without continued smoking after startup, then something else is causing your issue.
If it's hunting and or drooping excessively and can't correct it with adjustment there may be a...
Is it a bit difficult to start, and do the valve covers get abnormally hot fairly quickly?
If so your injection pump may be 180* out of time.
The video would be invaluable to help troubleshoot....
Surprisingly Guy didn't ask you, so I will.... Is this set new to you and have you ever seen it...
Looking at the picture it appears that the fuel line has been disconnected from the transfer pump.
Start by giving the gen a good look over and compare things to the TM and see what the GP guys did exactly so you can put it back together to start the diagnosis.
Replace the rubber fuel hoses feeding the metering pumps first.
Then either crack open the upper nut where the hard line comes out of the top of your metering pumps or crack the line where it attaches to the injector up top, if you have the top cover off.
Put the main switch in the prime/run...
Yes, please start a new discussion about you 831.
Regarding the 802, we should clarify exactly what you are seeing now.
The term "turn on" is too vague for us to follow exactly what your current status is.
I believe you are saying you now have 24V at the control panel and the panel is...
