Where in Chicago are you?

Is your truck still 24volt? Did you buy a 24 volt starter? Have you pulled it out and tested it? It might be a loose connection or bad ground or you got one with a bad solenoid!

Do your self a favor and convert it to power the manual one is junk!!!!

Started changing the motor mounts on the m1008 they were bad, the fan was hitting the shroud, replaced all the glow plugs and gutted the interior.

You got lucky most are missing half the stuff! The complete ones that work usually go for $500 on ebay!!

Ive had one for 3 years finally got all the pieces just last week to complete the set! Getting the current probe and transducers is the hardest part!!

The U haul by my house sell and puts them on! I had them put one on my 1028 the price wasnt even worth me doing it my self! Check U haul out.

There are some pics on here of a torn of m1009 pintle! It is different then the m1008, the m1008 is reinforced and made to haul weight. The m1009 has the thin plate it bolts to and a couple of thin strips thats it.

U can have mine for 5,000 its mint and has 4400 miles on it with a depot rebuilt hummer motor in it!

I saw a guy jack knife a generator and rip the whole back off when i was in the air force.

Blazers on gl have been all over the place! I paid $1400 for mine in November its rust free from Ft Hood just needed a tail gate! Ive also seen junk go for $4,000. I see a lot of nice ones on craigslist for 3-4 grand ready to go!!!!
