Looks good, PHD! Is this the one that you are going to be putting the spare tire plate on it that you got from me earlier this year?
Love the salvaged headache rack....
Confirmed - I initially said it should not be a problem, but jasonjc is right, the manual states that using a M871 or M871A1 trailer with a M52 series tractor is inherently dangerous.
Looks like Kevin wuz here.
Good painting job, if I have more room and more money, I'd spring for a M109 as an MRV. The more I see you guys and your combat campers the more I drool over the prospects...
WildChild467 - RC is mostly a woodsy trail and rock crawling type place. Not a ton of mud, in fact there is only one or two big mud pits there, and you can easily go around them. Plus, I just looked at the weather report for that area of PA. Looks like the next week is going to be sunny and...
My opinion - if you want the same size trailer with a heavier load capacity, put a M105 trailer body on a M200 genset trailer. You will have up to 2-1/2 tons of capacity.
Ditto of the footprint of the trailer, adding wheels won't make the suspension or frame any stronger.
I don't see any difference between this and a Jeep Liberty that someone spray-bombed green when their wife wasn't looking. This is China's replacement for the UAZ-69?
Has anyone here ever put a lift gate on the back end of a deuce? I've seen them on M820 vans, but not on a deuce. The under-frame stuff on a standard -35 might prevent it, but perhaps on a M36A2?
Those feet in the pic are NOT what you need, those are 1" on the towbar end and 1.5" on the vehicle end - used for pulling armored vehicles. You need the standard 1" on each end, they are much more common anyways.
Nope, they are all gone. Only towbar on this end is a loaner from peecook, I still have to drive down to Richmond to bring it back.
I had about 30 towbars on the truck at Aberdeen 2009, I kept throwing them out there and buyers kept snatching them up. Before I knew it, I sold all the...
I told him on a dare that Gen. Sherman was a great man and should've been on the $1 bill. He got pissed and ran me off his spot at Aberdeen.
He's a great guy though, piles of parts, Lord knows where he gets them all...
I had one of those a couple years back I pulled out of a junkyard. Sold it quick, didn't take long. I guess they are pretty sought after. That was the only one I ever found.
If anyone needs deuce 9.00x20 tire tubes and flaps, I have extras I can bring, $10 a set (tube and flap), all are VG cond. Just extras I don't need, thought I would make them available to others. All proceeds will go toward the MadDawg Foundation to Reduce American Alcoholism by Purchasing All...
My opinion - get a M1061 2-axle trailer, put some side posts on it to hold the logs on to it. That way you can use it on or off road, without modifying the trailer itself too much.
Had this one on my M725 years ago. I haven't gotten a custom plate since, but perhaps when the money is flowing a bit more on this end.
Second one is just one I thought was funny....
