If you have some of the original yellow glass bulbs that are burned out, you could always retrofit them with a suitable 24v headlight lamp by drilling out the back and removing the old parts from inside. They wouldn't be "sealed beams" anymore, but it would work.

Well, that's rather disappointing news, isn't it? However, I've been looking at Flatlander's pics, and I think something can be done to make the pump usable.... But that something is certainly not gluing in a PVC fitting!
Flatlander's pump does not appear to have stripped threads. Also...
Got a pressure washer? It will remove that paint and leave the data plate unharmed.

WOW! Congratulations, Bjorn!
That first drive must have been very satisfying indeed... this is the first time it's moved under it's own power since you've owned it, right? The paint looks great too!

GASP! A Detroit Hater! ...knew they existed, never met one. They can see that my blood flows Alpine Green from a mile away and they keep their distance. :D
The modern silicone lined gasket sets seal oil leaks very well and for a long time. There are plenty of dry Detroits these days, as...
Welcome!
Sounds like you got one heck of a deal!
Troop seats are not a big deal... Boyce Equipment or Thompson's Militaria, both in Utah, should have them. The trick is finding them relatively close to you because shipping would cost much, much more than the parts themselves.
For seat belts...
I can't believe someone would want to make a military humvee look like a civilian H1... an ugly one at that. It's enough to make you lose your lunch!

Yesterday I saw a CUCV with some type of maintenance box body on it, in a wrecking yard. In a compartment on the outside of the box was a fuel burning heater to keep the box warm while people were working inside. Could it be the same as the one you need? I didn't look too closely but it...
Even if the MVPA flat-out said, "We don't care about anything post-WWII, especially big dumb cargo trucks", it would be easier to band together and join the MVPA, get as many supporters as possible and then stage a coup at the elections... than it would be to start our own PAC from scratch. But...
If there's a problem with your wiring it would be between the fuse and the pump... a problem upstream wouldn't affect the fuse. Make sure nothing is touching a ground that shouldn't be... like the wires inside the metal fuse cover? Also, are you using the correct fuse? I think there was a PS...
I'm with the group on this one, too... Give it the heave-ho. Finding a cab at a wrecking yard should be easy with so many good trucks going to scrap these days.

Around here, everything is sand! I lower my tires to 25psi and they seem to do good except on the worst of washboard roads. Lower pressure may be even better but I don't want to risk damaging a tire or rim... I don't know the lowest safe pressure. I bought a set of "Staun Automatic Tyre...
Store canvas indoors. :D
Really, though... If I'm going to cough up that kind of money I want it to last. My canvas will never see a drop of rain. I will have rotted away before my canvas has.
