Most ctis issues are air related. While you do need to address the battery issue, see other thread, you need to tackle the ctis separately. Is it the flashing lights of death, not coming on at all, starts to cycle then starts flashing? Lots of threads about the 939 series ctis issues, and...

Don't just go by a multimeter as far as the voltage, if you have the type of batteries that you can check the water then check the gravity. If not load test them to pick out the best two. I also recommend switching to group 31s. I currently have two marine group 29s in my 818 and it works...

The pic issue is that what you see on your computer is actually the meta data that is correcting the orientation of the phot so when you upload it the data is stripped and it returns to its original format.
