yep - takes off pretty much perfect in 1st-Hi. my idle is a tad low for my liking, but doesn't effect take-off.

all the head gaskets are the same now. have been for at least 5 years. and, ok, marine has a girdle - whoopty-crap. the motor in question probably doesn't. block, crank, rods, head, etc are the same or comparable.

before people lead you completely in the wrong direction, a couple of things to mention.

it looks like you used a 5.9 out of a comercial truck (bus?). couple of questions:
is the intercooler the comercial one or other?
did you find that the front sump pan was a must? even with the lift?
did you use the stock deuce radiator? how well is it holding up...
Jones, do you have pics of your hyd motor mounted on the winch? also, do you have any specs on the pump vs the hyd motor?
how does it perform vs stock - speed, pulling power, etc. ?
