all the head gaskets are the same now. have been for at least 5 years. and, ok, marine has a girdle - whoopty-crap. the motor in question probably doesn't. block, crank, rods, head, etc are the same or comparable. :roll:-back at'cha...

before people lead you completely in the wrong direction, a couple of things to mention. first, the industrial 5.9s are not "heavier duty". in fact, the only difference in the 12v's found in pickups versus industrial or commercial applications is the pistons. industrial pistons do have some...

yep - PLS. you'll never have a use for it: the output rotations are quite funky (some CW some CCW, IIRC).

you'll also find that the governor on a stationary application motor is finicky on the street.

thanks for the pics!!! it looks like you used a 5.9 out of a comercial truck (bus?). couple of questions: is the intercooler the comercial one or other? did you find that the front sump pan was a must? even with the lift? did you use the stock deuce radiator? how well is it holding up...

Jones, do you have pics of your hyd motor mounted on the winch? also, do you have any specs on the pump vs the hyd motor? how does it perform vs stock - speed, pulling power, etc. ? TIA
