Welcome to the SS forums, there is very little component level information on these because there are so many different manufacturers/models and they were never intended to be repaired just replaced, there are certainly many other components bad including that MOSFET that has a big hole in it.
If it is truly in the cylinder then the only way is to pull the head, the injector/glow plug holes only get you to the pre-combustion cup not to the cylinder itself.
You need to pull the injector and make sure it is not in the cup, that may or may not be the knock you are hearing.

I used to run my M998 (the Detroit) at 70 because I wanted it to blow up so I could modify it, it never did so I put a 6 speed and a turbo 6.5L in it anyway.
