Memphis equipment did a bunch of civi s cam brake conversions to 5 ton trucks so the parts are out there but i don't have part #'s. in my opinion the s cam style really hang in a bad spot when fitted to the 5 ton Rockwell's. the wedge system fits way better as far as keeping the components out...
A friend of mine has a nice civi one for sale. 12 ton tandom dually with elec brakes. 20' deck with 5' beaver tail. flip up ramps. a little far away for you tho.
benni, if you are talking about the wheel seals on the 5 ton i just got a box of them from a fellow in Alabama. CHEAP! i also see that you have the late style power steering on the tractor. very nice update. let me know if you want the contact info for the seals. certainly not trying to tell...
Update---- I found a source for the seals. Teds Trucks and Stuff. he has them very reasonable! also found a CR # for the seal and posted it in the cross reference section. the napa/carquest part is 3 times as much as Ted charges, although if you only needed 1 and were in a hurry i guess it...
My XM818W/W Data plate looks normal. I have yet to figure out what part of my truck is experimental. although it does have a Tach O Graph and i have wondered if that was the reason it has an X.
Bruce, that is exactly why i went with an air impact wrench. i know its not origanal equipment but i want it to work. i have seen a few electric impact tools and have never been impressed.
NAPA was on my list of places to hit today. thanks Joseph i would have to drive quite a ways to find a city store. i thought sure i had seen them in someones ad. they are the same as 5 ton hubs. Memphis Equipment just verified it for me.
Looking to repack the wheel bearings and replace the wheel seals on my M127. anyone have a source for the seals? tried to match up at my favorite truck parts supply house with out much luck. thanks for any and all leads ...
Jones did you ever get this figured out? i have books that i can go into and find what you would need to set one up. just thought it was odd that no one responded to your post.
eddie if you lived a little closer i would let you use one of my tractors to hold you over! probably could find you a trailer sitting around to pull with it to!
