Got it basically put back together, new glad hand hoses, new intervehicular cable, some paint (have a couple spots left to do). But it's coming along slowly.

I believe you are correct about the type of fire extinguisher. I had a picture, I can't find it now, but it showed the fire bottle mounted lengthwise on the tranny hump to the right of the shifter knobs.
I don't think there ever were original ones, never seen them.
I have a set on my truck, it's very well made, keeps a lot of the hot air out of the cab.
I've towed deuces home before behind other deuces. No problems, though it was a little white knuckle on the first trip, having never done it before.

Was hoping to come across a gun nut who has a pair mounted present day in his Class III collection.
Does anyone have any close up detailed pics of any dual M60 gun mounts? I've seen a few original pics of twin, side by side M60s, but nothing close up. Just want to get an idea how they are mounted.
Coleman's Surplus has the correct sized mattox and shovel. The shovel has a plastic handle, but that just means it will be more comfortable.
The local True Value had the correct sized axe for my pioneer rack.
