I've got both, steering is the same. being from the south, deuces are a dime a dozen there, get a W/W from GL for about half of what us Yankees in the west have to pay.
there a lot of "bad" things about a deuce (m35a2):
1) slow 45-50 (stock)
2) hot in summer OK in winter with 15 min warm-up
3) long turning radius
4) no power steering (unless equipped with air-o-matic)
5) wipers suck (unless converted to electric)
6) uncomfortable
7)old (repairs)
8) tires suck...
i have a a2 with a 2000 gal tank, i don't know why anyone would want to put a tank on this truck. its to heavy. 2000x8.34=16,680 pounds. i think a 5 ton would be much better suited for this kind of work.
i was thinking of doing the opposite and installing a rear exhaust with a muffler. i have to replace the passenger side fender due to rust and the parts truck is set up with rear exhaust with no hole in fender (stock) the twin stacks do look good though....
yes i agree the Gadsden flag looks good, as far as the tough enough for pink, sorry not for me. I'm also looking for any unusual ideas to set this truck apart. thanks
OK, starting my bobber project later this week, the truth is i had to hire someone to do most of it for me since I'm working out of town and will be for some time to come. "I'm" going to chop the original bed 3 feet, put on 46" tires... paint it some sort of green with either one of these door...
yes they will fit, i got one one no wheels or tires and hauled it back on a car trailer no problem. remember to remove bows and tarp as they cause drag
i know this has been said many times here on SS, when picking up a trailer get the cheap harbor freight magnetic lights (12v) that come with the 4 prong plug. Then you don't have to worry about the lights. I did not zip tie mine on and they made the long bumpy trip back home
