My 85 M1009 is leaking brake fluid onto drivers side front floor in the fuel, brake pedal area, not alot but enough that id like to get it fixed, brakes feel and work fine..any experiance or thoughts welcome..The truck is coming along nicely thanks to this site,
I use PS white bottle in winter and grey in summer, and am amazed how this truck runs better and better the more i drive it..I also throw a qt. of new tranny fluid in the fuel tank when filling up,
got my rear window and tailgate functional, fixed pwr steering brkt, switched out starter bolts will do starter support bracket soon as my used bolts were bent..
sorry to hear, but I can one up you,or give more reason for doghead relay install, when it happened to me I thought I just fried fuseable link,as starter was brand spankin new so I installed new fuseable link and a new fact. type relay, turned key on and fried entire in cab harness, not good at all...
took my 1009 over to topgun217s to compare trucks and seek advice,he also has 1009, great guy, great visit, and his son is more interested in cucvs than video games,a future collector im sure...
found an unplowed township rd.,2-3 foot drifts, turned around for the challenge, a good mile long rd. and she did it in 2wd, hopefully they dont plow tonight so gf can run camera tommorow and i can put in 4wd !!
1ton I love your truck and would love to do my exhaust like yours but I have no shop or even garage, so stuff I do to mine happens in parking lot or I have to pay a shop to do it,so im very limited..I am really surprised how much difference my minor mod made in the trucks performance,I cant wait...
Had moroso 3 inch muffs installed today and 3 inch tailpipes, looks ,sounds and runs much better, little lounder on acceleration, but quiter at 55-65 mph, sounds really good, actually less noise at speed than 2.25 exhaust with glasspacks !
Another stupid move on my part,I got home at 1pm and at 6pm my neighbor knocked on my door and said Do you know your lights are on, on your truck, nope didnt know, went down thinking get out spare batts. and jumpers, and worried I just damaged my optima redtops,....turned key, glowed for ten seconds...
Thanks Pete, things kinda hectic right now,and I hate to be a pest around holidays, that and its cold enough I dont want to work on it outside so I really dont want you to have to either..I will get a hold of you later this week tho..
