Yes it does take a few weeks to fully cure. My only gripe on the behr paint is that it wont wash clean. What I mean by this is -- here in Florida we have black inky mud. Not that I'm mudding my truck, but if you ride in the woods the tires will through mud up on truck and stain it, and the only...
3 color paint
Nice job-- and the paint gun worked out ok.
I started to paint mine last year with a wagner electric sprayer, but it shot out the paint like a stucco gun [borrowed it from my neighbor] So I used my air powered paint gun. Your job came out perfect, maybe the electric gun needs...
Thanks 74m for the info. I fabbed a bracket for my upper mounting, it works fine and will never break but it does look like MR. Jimmy Rigged mounted my alt. ha ha
If it were mine I would take it to a tire shop that has a old style wheel balance method. The kind where they balance the tires on the truck. That way you can separate front or rear. Maybe you have a tire that is way out of round. You didn't mention the truck pulling to one side or the other...
I would like to thank AUBRY at TNJ MURRY. I ordered 3 data plates for my 923 bed. He called me today and said 2 had small scratches the other was fine. Since they were the last 3 he had he wanted to know if I still wanted them or would I care to wait till he got some more in. I thanked him for...
74m, even at 300 that is still a good deal. I was really surprised when he told me 130 plus tax. I was thinking at least 300, and I would have paid that, guess the money gods were with me that day.
He said it was a 100 amps and had a 6 month warranty. He also said that he seldom has any problems out of these, but if something goes wrong it usually is right away. I had other stuff done by him and never had any problems, I'm sure he would make it right if it were part failure. I'm sure it...
74m,
I will find out. I never had a problem with him before, but it is a valid point. His shop is like a step back in time, still hand writes receipts.
I replaced my filter with a k&n for a 8.3 turbo. Guage goes up under half way under load or long pull. I thing that these gauges are just a poor design.
74m35a2, The alt. rebuilder did a 24v build. He did a lot for the county back when they had a few 24v trucks running around. He was quite knowledgeable on the system. I had two reasons for not rebuilding the original [cost and time] He said he could find a regulator for around a 100 bucks, but...
Correct no keyway on delco. I had my local alt. generator guy build me a delco, cost 130 with pulley and its not a clone. If you cant find a pulley you should be able to drill your existing pulley to 7/8 which will fit your delco.
Make sure that the hard metal lines [that run on top side of axel] are not crushed or mashed--- I had a truck towed to me and had a similar problem. The wrecker driver pinched a metal brake line with his j hook while towing it. It came in not running and developed a brake pull while sitting in...
