Ok. I got my dryer late last week and just yesterday fixed my lack of air issue with the compressor unloader. What a joy getting that top basket on that compressor. It's the getting of them two back bolts (especially the right one) just started into the hole in the basket that took 1/2 hour...
Sounds like we need GP to start moving some non rolling stock to let GL know there is competition and they are not monopolizing kings! I just don't like the way GL seems so lacking in explaining the products they are moving. It's like, take it or leave it so I usually do the latter.

Sorry, I meant M939A2. I keep forgetting they were in a learning curve with the whole M939A0, A1, A2 series. I think the A2 did come with the pure air plus from production, or was even the A2s upgraded?
I may get shredded for this one but I really recommend using that service GP recommends. They post your "job" up for bid and trucking companies bid on it. Then you take whichever company you want out of them bids. They even show feedback for each company (if they have any). I had my M929A2...
Ok. Awesome. Thank you.
When it unloaded in the past it did make a very strange sound in doing so and not sounding like a regular semi truck. Is that normal or a sign it is starting to go. These MVs with full air are new to me. Had juice brakes and air for something but not full air back when I...
Update your browser. Might get away with just restarting the cpu. If all else fails get a different browser like chrome or firefox. I'm still old schooling it with IE.
Will they know the model number of the compressor by what truck it is on or do I need to know the number of the compressor beforehand? If so, anyone know the model number? Can I order online or a specific big rig dealership?
I plan on making this item part of regular maintenance so I don't have to mess with it again. When I break out the grease gun it is time to take that intake cover off and blast some wd as well as a little shot of dexron and also remove the line on the unloader valve and shoot some of both down...
Late advice here too. I went out and tore the top off that thing. Had me furious at the wannabe engineer who didn't think to leave that extra 1/4" space. I had black water in the line to the unloader. It was indeed stuck. Very stuck. Gonna clean it all up and use the dexron for lube and hope to...
Check all your drive (propeller) shafts. I had mine delivered and upon inspecting the u-joints I realized the main shaft out of the transfer to the rear had every bolt loose where it attaches to the first differential and one bolt missing. Could have been a disaster.
Then while going over...
That is the route I will take as soon as the rain lets up (if it does at all today). I went out to start but that break didn't last long.
As for the TMs, well, so much for accuracy...again. I have a different air compressor and different governor than what they have pictured. TM said all...
Forget about batteries. Mine said that it "required ether to start" yet it had two bad batteries and they said they don't honor the "ironclad guarantee" on batteries. Well, at the cost of them, I see why they threw that clause in there. Sad part is the truck driver that delivered mine said that...
Thinking of getting one of these myself as a daily (well, when I need a pickup truck) driver. I am so over the 3/4 ton pickup trucks. They just can't handle my roughness. My current one has a frame starting to crack and why go deep into debt for another that will surely fail miserably like the...
Well, the dryer isn't the problem after all. Took the inlet line off today and no air getting to the dryer at all. Still gonna upgrade to the MRAP dryer but darn, now what?
Jim
I finally got a break on the rain so I decided this evening was a good time to root around under the truck. With it running I couldn't hear any air leaking anywhere, even though it is a challenge to block out the noisy cummins. I took off the inlet line that goes to the dryer and no air...
Good to know. That is the route I will take. I noticed the seller on bay is from same town as suprman (may have spelled wrong) so I suspect thats him. I will order this evening.
