Anybody think about using a jamb switch in both doors to turn the light on, just like in your car or civi truck? I'm going to experiment with that idea.

Good thread, this has irritated me for years, pulling the door panel and adjusting things did not make a difference. Maybe the windshield trick will work?
Any NAPA store ought to be able to hook you up with the bulb.
I use Shell Rotella T or Chevron Delo, also available at NAPA however, you might find it somewhat cheaper at Wally-World. Best of luck on your recovery! Remember to take the camera for the "photo impaired" folks here.
